I think we out did ourselves with this one (even if Jenn did say this herself). This year’s blend is different than in years past, containing more Mourvedre than Grenache for the first time. The nose unfolds layers of ripe dark fruit and earth’s forest floor with notes of smokey toast. The pallet exhibits stunning ripe plums, blackberry and chalky stones with purple flowers, chewy licorice and a smooth finish that goes on and on. Put on some good New Orleans blues and grab another glass! 60% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache, 5% Cinsault.
