Entrancingly deep blood red, smooth and dark like Stephan Moyer’s character Bill Compton in True Blood! Loads of luscious blackberry, chewy toasted toffee, subtle smoke and beefy meat laced with dried fennel. Rich and full bodied with a bold, blackberry finish, nuances of bacon fat, bitter chocolate, eucalyptus, violets and fig. Excellent acid, spice, and a long dark, deep finish. Even Dracula would be captivated by this charmer and maybe even change his drinking habits. 95% Syrah, 2% Grenache, 2 % Mourvedre, 1% Roussanne, 605 cases produced.
